Integrate UserInterviews with Qualz.ai

This guide walks you through connecting UserInterviews with Qualz.ai to track participant progress and automate completion workflows.

Prerequisite: Familiarize yourself with our Tracker ID & Panel Integration Guide to understand how panel integration works in Qualz.ai.

Step 1: Create Your Study and Copy Its Link

On Qualz.ai:

1. Log in to the Qualz.ai Dashboard
2. Create a new study (dynamic survey or AI-moderated interview) or select an existing one
3. Complete the Create step (title, objective, questions) and click Save and Continue
4. Continue to the Share step and copy the study link (or its short link). You will paste this link into UserInterviews in the next step

On UserInterviews:

1. Log in to userinterviews.com (create an account as a researcher if you don't have one)
2. Navigate to the Projects section

1. Create or edit a project, then navigate to the Research activity section

1. Select Unmoderated, then click Add under the Task Platform section

1. Choose Tracked Customer Link and paste the Qualz.ai study link you copied from the Share step

Note: UserInterviews automatically appends iid=TRACKINGID to your study link. When it sends the link to a participant, TRACKINGID is replaced with that participant's unique identifier, which is how Qualz.ai knows who completed the study.

1. Copy the redirect URL provided by UserInterviews, then click Save

Step 2: Configure the Redirect URL on Qualz.ai

1. Go to the Qualz.ai Dashboard and open your study
2. Go to the Configure step (the second step after Create). The Redirect URL field is under the participant information preferences
3. Paste the UserInterviews redirect URL:

https://www.userinterviews.com/project-task-events/custom_link_with_redirect/complete?iid=TRACKINGID

Keep TRACKINGID exactly as written. Qualz.ai replaces it with the participant's tracker ID when it redirects them.

1. Click Save and Continue to save the redirect URL

Step 3: Launch and Track

Your Qualz.ai study is now integrated with UserInterviews participant tracking. Complete the remaining settings in your UserInterviews project and launch it.

UserInterviews sends each participant the tracked link with their own iid value. Do not share the plain Qualz.ai study link with these participants yourself; a participant who opens the study without an iid cannot be matched back to UserInterviews.

After a participant completes the study, Qualz.ai automatically redirects them to UserInterviews, which records the completion for incentive processing.

Redirection Behavior

When the redirect happens depends on your study type and configuration.

For Survey Configuration:

Case 1: Future Studies Sign-up Enabled

If "Allow participants to optionally sign up for future studies" is active, the participant sees a sign-up form after submitting. The redirect triggers when they click Participate in Future Studies.

Case 2: Future Studies Sign-up Disabled

If the option is inactive, the redirect triggers when the participant clicks Submit on the last page of the survey.

For Interview Configuration:

AI-moderated interviews have the same Allow participants to optionally sign up for future studies toggle and Redirect URL field on their Configure step, and the redirect follows the same two cases:

• Sign-up enabled: the redirect triggers when the participant clicks Participate in Future Studies after the interview ends.
• Sign-up disabled: the redirect triggers as soon as the interview is completed.
